Cosmetic Brow TattooAfter the procedure, there is little to no pain. An aftercare ointment and instructions will be provided to you. These instructions are imperative to your healing outcome and must be adhered to for great results. The healing phase can become a little stressful for some, however you must trust the process. Day 1-10 With a dampened cotton tip, gently clean the brow area, this must be done morning and night, followed by aftercare ointment in the evening only. No direct water, Soap, cleansers, makeup or other moisturiser to be applied on the area. Please avoid spas, saunas, swimming, excessive sweating for the first 10 days. Please do not pick any of the flaking or scabbing that may occur, this will cause the colour to come away prematurely and can result in loss of pigment. If the tattoo becomes itchy, do not scratch, gently tap with a cotton tip to elevate your itch. Please do not put your brows in direct sunlight, wear sunglasses, a hat or some light sunscreen over the area, fading of the pigment can be caused by direct sunlight, during your healing phase and even after. Peels, glycolics, chemicals and active oils and ingredients being used over time can fade the pigment. Directly after the procedure, brows will appear slightly red, quite dark and very well defined, this will soften off, become lighter as the healing phase continues. After the scabbing or flaking, the colour will have remained in the skin and appear to be a softer shade then directly after treatment. If you feel it has lightened too much, then we will assess this in the perfecting session. The skin's healing takes 4- 6 weeks to see the full result, this is why we must do the touch up session between 6-8 weeks. A perfecting session is exactly that, in this session we will assess the outcome, the heal and add in any pigment loss. This session is required to complete the procedure.
